Lecture 3: Product
A product is what the actor produce with an act and intention supported with knowledge. The process of production must follow the rule given in a certain site.
Examples of products,

During the class Cik Wan askes us 3 question,
1.How do you look at a product?'
2.What makes a product beautiful?
3.How we define ugly?
Below are my answers,
1.firstly i will look at its packing, is it attractive .
2.The packing of the product makes it beautiful.
3.Offensive to the sight.
In the second section we discussed about our dome. We were thought about all the scale again from object, interior, building, premise, urban, regional, and global scale.
In the domes day project,
the dome will be our OBJECT
INTERIOR of our dome will be the assembly of our dome with the materials and components prepared.
BUILDING can be referred to the dome
PREMISE shall be the site (HPB Minden).
URBAN area will be our dome spine
REGIONAL scale is not applicable in this project as its too small
GLOBAL scale is where our production will be documented and be able to share with every one else in the internet.
intention:to gain knowledge and experience on the process of production
actor: all HBP first year students involved and Cik Wan
rule:to build a dome in given time and location
site:HBP Minden (near the swimming pool for me)
act: cooperation between 5 members
product: a strong lasting dome
The actors and the product :
New World Order
INTENTION
complete and total control over every human being on the planet and to dramatically reduce the world's population by two thirds
ACT
population will be limited by restrictions on the number of children per family, diseases, wars, famines, until 1 billion people who are useful to the ruling class, in areas which will be strictly and clearly defined, remain as the total world population.
PRODUCT
One World (fascist) Government
ACTOR
world's wealthiest people, top political leaders, and corporate elite, as well as members of the so-called Black Nobility of Europe (dominated by the British Crown)
RULE
unknown -anything possible will be done to archive target
SITE
the earth

Lecture 2: SITE ( Scale of the Built Environment)

(this image is pick from http://www.hbp.usm.my/1b/RAG132/2008/L2sitescale.htm )
The smallest scale is the OBJECT which refers to an item in the build environment and the actor is usually the industrial designer.
It followed by INTERIOR which refers to the interior design of an building. Actor that involve are usually the interior architect.
Next, BUILDING which refers to a structure or building that was design and build physically. Architect are the professionals that involve in the design of these structures.
It follow by PREMISE which is the environment and all the facilities in the building. The actor involve is usually the landscape architect.
Next, URBAN which refers to the specific area or town that are designed by the urban designer.
In the bigger scale, the REGIONAL that refers to the state or a city which involve a huge scale of land. THE actor involved is the planner.
The largest scale in the build environment is the GLOBAL. Global refers to the entire EARTH. The actors that involve in this stage is relatively huge compare to others because it involve every human beings in EARTH.

doomes day report
Intention
Our intention is to build a dome. Before building a dome a certain level of knowledge is needed. Therefore, a research and several meetings has been conduct. Finally we come out with a plan to build a 2V dome which have a radius of 6 feet or 183cm.
Actors:
Below are the actors that took part in constructing of the doom.
Group 38 (togetherness)
Group leader : 1) Chong Voon Chuen
Group members : 2) Michael Voon It Joh
3) Peh Swee Chin
4) Khoo Tze Yuet
5) Chuar Yejuan (me)
Act
A building could not be build without the materials. After we generate the plan we
face the major problem - where to get free materials? Just to said that we are very lucky to
be able to locate a construction site near our school HBP - the chemistry lab. The chemistry lab is having a renovation, lots of useful materials are discard near the site. Thus, we went and ask the workers permission to gather some useful materials.
This is the place where we manage to get our free materials.
This is our group leader trying to get some useful materials for the dome.
This is me trying to get the PVC pipe out from the waste site.
This is what we manage to get from the site.
After having a look at the construction site, we decide to use PVC pipes as our dome material. The pipes we gather from the site by our self is obviously not enough so once again we went toward the person in charge for more resources, thanks god that there are more then enough pipes in the building and we are free to take it as long as we inform the person in change.
All the pipes are transfer to the working place in HBP for further process. The next day (Friday) afternoon we manage to borrow a saw from the lab and the pipes are saw and separate into 2 portion which consist of (A) 35 pipes with the length of 1.10m and (B) 30 pipes with the length of 1.0M. As the guys saw the pipes, the girls had took part in cleaning the pipes.
On Monday afternoon, after our studio once again we went to the lab and drew holes on the pole of the pipes as joint. We uses steel wire as the connector to connect the joint.
Its around 4pm when we finish everything, as we still have some time we decide to build up the dome for practice purposes (this is why we manage to build up our dome within 10 min during the domes day).
Site
Our site is located near the swimming pool as our group number is 38. The contour of the site is around 1m. Therefore, its not that easy to work with compare with building the dome up in a flat land.
Rules
Zero cost
Packaged accommodate 5
Chargeable by 3 people
Assembled in 30 minutes
Show team identity
Recyclable.
Product
As we can see 5 white pipes on top of the dome form a pentagon and and hold all the other pipes together and forms a giant 3d structure, it represent each group members work together and bring the construction together. Thus, we have the the team name as "TOGETHERNESS".

We are the ACTOR, for us to have an INTENTION do something, first we must have KNOWLEDGE about it.
Therefore, its important for us to be aware about the production of KNOWLEDGE which consist of LISTENING, SEEING and DIFFERENTIATING.
The RULE is simply, its either right or wrong and it is depend on the ACTOR and the "authority". The "authority" is the source of -ISM which underlines our intention.
The ACTOR will only ACT with an intention and all ACTs are governed by the RULE that is fixed by the authority. The final product is our build-environment which located on the SITE.
usm convocation
actor: the workers
act: build the stages and store
rule: finish assemble up the store in given the period
site: DTSP
product: the stores
PRODUCTION MODEL
The build environment is what we build and produced . In order to have a better view on the production we introduce the model of production was introduced.
Production Model consist of 6 elements which is the INTENTION, ACT, PRODUCT, ACTOR, RULE and SITE.
